Energy Performance Consultancy Service

An all-in-one solution if your property(s) is below the legal Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES, EPC rated E or below).

Unlike a traditional Domestic Energy Assessment whereby a customer might instruct an assessment to be carried out on their property, for the EPC to be below requirements, for the customer to then unnecessarily implement potentially more costly energy saving measures e.g. new boiler, wall insulation etc, the consultation involves running simulations to find the most cost effective solution(s), before the official EPC is lodged.

If no EPC is available a traditional Energy Assessment is carried out to retrieve base data, and identify the most cost effective measures/improvements which can be implemented. The recommended measures are then implemented, and a final Energy Assessment is conducted to produce a pass rated certificate, allowing you to carry on renting out, saving you time and money.

Should more costly insulation/improvements be required, various subsidised funding options may be fully/partially available subject to circumstances, for which a Retrofit Assessment may be required.

Retrofit Assessments

Where Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding is available for certain Insulation measures, a thorough Retrofit Assessment is required by the funding provider to identify more accurate carbon cost savings. Taking into account more detailed property details, and specific occupant heating habits.

Should a landlord wish to utilize Energy Company, or 3rd party funding, Retrofit Assessments are usually paid for by the funding party.

Legionella Risk Assessments

Legionnaires' disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by the inhalation of small droplets of contaminated water containing Legionella. All man-made hot and cold water systems are likely to provide an environment where Legionella can grow.

Under section 3(2) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSWA) landlords and business owners have a legal duty of care to have their property's, and business premises assessed for the risk of it in their water systems by getting a Legionella Risk Assessment, or they run the risk of being fined.

A Legionella Risk Assessment takes about 30 minutes to conduct; the outcome being a report detailing;
